Request for Sponsorship for the 2nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Cultured Foods

The 2nd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Cultured Foods: President, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University

Michiya Matsusaki

Dear Sir/Madam, I hope this letter finds you in good health and prosperity. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support.
This association was established in April 2025 as the Japanese Society for Cell Cultured Foods, a general incorporated association, building upon the Cell Cultured Foods Research Group, which was founded in 2019 by researchers who are working on or interested in developing new food production technologies based on cell culture, in response to the growing global health consciousness and awareness of issues such as food shortages and food waste.
With the aim of developing technologies and training human resources related to cultured foods, and delivering safe, secure, healthy, delicious, and sustainable cultured foods to the dinner table, we will scientifically systematize the latest results of cultured food research conducted by various institutions, and accelerate progress in this field by promoting mutual cooperation and integration, thereby providing new scientific evidence regarding the nutritional aspects and safety of foods. By promoting these efforts, we aim to solve the problem of future food shortages and contribute to the co-creation of food that contributes to a sustainable global environment.
To spread the activities and ideals of this academic society, we are pleased to announce the holding of our second conference. The theme of the second conference will be "Innovation by Cell Based Food - Innovation Led by Cell-Based Foods," and we hope to contribute to the development of cultured food research by having researchers from universities and companies who are active on the front lines of cultured food research participate and discuss current achievements, challenges, future possibilities, and innovations. We also hope that the participation of people from other fields who are interested in this field will serve as a catalyst for expanding and establishing this research area. This conference will focus on diverse research, from mass cell culture technology to scaffold material technology related to cell adhesion and proliferation, tissue engineering technology for creating tissues by combining cells and scaffold materials, and quality control technology for realizing industrialization, as well as social acceptance accompanying rule formation and changes in food culture. We have planned an attractive program in which researchers from academia and companies active in related fields both domestically and internationally, as well as researchers active in other research fields, can participate and share the current state, challenges, and possibilities of new food production technologies.
This academic conference is primarily funded by member participation fees. However, in order to make this conference even more fruitful, we humbly request your support and understanding of the conference's objectives.
Ideally, I should visit you in person to offer my greetings, but I am very sorry to have to do so in writing. I would be grateful if you would accept my request for your participation in and support of the tournament.

Sincerely,
